Before purchasing these stands I looked EVERYWHERE on the internet for ANY reviews on any model Odyssey speaker stands. I couldn't find a single one. Given the price of these particular speaker stands, the fact they come with a bag, and fact that they can extend to 8 feet (which appears to be a rarity), I took a chance and ordered them. Smart DJ gave me a good deal and delivered them very promptly. I received them today and thought I would write perhaps the first review of them. I am very impressed with them. Both the height of the stands as well as the width of the tripod "footprints" are fully adjustable. They appear to be very very sturdy and strong. Most surprising was getting not only a fairly sturdy bag which holds both stands but a bag for each individual stand. With these you can put each stand in its own bag and then place those two bags into the main bag. I dont know if other speaker stands have this triple bag feature but I think this is a very nice detail. The only reason I did not give these an excellent rating is because one of the rubber cups on the bottom of a stand leg had a long tear in it and would not stay on the leg. I glued it together with superglue and now its fine.
